Family Life Today, Inc. was established in the mid 1970's with a mission to bring individuals into a trust relationship with Jesus Christ. The founder of Family Life Today, J. Marilyn VanWingerden, developed public conferences, seminars, retreats and small in-home classes for wives and mothers throughout the Greater Detroit area to teach practical and Biblically based applications of God's Word and His plan for the family. As the need to strengthen the foundation of the nuclear family intensified, a dynamic healing ministry gradually surfaced and took root.

Christ navigated the direction of Family Life Today to offer hope and inner healing through the ministry of professional counseling. The therapeutic setting provides a safe atmosphere of warmth and integrity with well-integrated Biblical standards of morality and practice.

Company Profile

In 1974, 36 years ago in Southeastern Michigan, Mothers on the Move, Ltd., (MOM's) began.The ministry was incorporated in 1977 with the name changed to Family Life Today, Inc., a federal non-profit 501 ( c ) (3) organization to more clearly define the objective to serve both men and women.

J. Marilyn VanWingerden is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of this grass roots ministry. She holds a doctorate in Psychology, and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor for over twenty years.

Family Life Today is tax exempt, and may receive tax deductible donations. Fees for products and services are not considered tax deductible by the Internal Revenue Service.
